SSI 2026 AGM
Description
Join us on Wednesday, 25 November 2026, for SSI’s Annual General Meeting, as we reflect on the past year, celebrate our achievements and recognise the people and partnerships that make our work possible.
Event details:
Date: Wednesday, 25 November 2026
Time: 9:30am - 1:00pm AEDT
Location: NAB Place Sydney: 2 Carrington St, Sydney NSW or online via Microsoft Teams
RSVP: By Friday 13 November
Please note the 2026 AGM will be available online via Teams for those who can’t join us in-person.
Alongside the formal AGM proceedings, the event will feature a keynote address from Sharan Burrow, a globally recognised advocate for human rights, workers’ rights and climate action. Sharan served as General Secretary of the International Trade Union Confederation from 2010 to 2022 and President of the Australian Council of Trade Unions from 2000 to 2010. Drawing on decades of international leadership, she brings a powerful perspective on building a fairer, more inclusive and sustainable future.
The program will also feature a panel discussion exploring social cohesion and how we can come together in an increasingly divided world. Bringing together perspectives across government, First Nations leadership and young people, the discussion will consider how we can strengthen social cohesion, navigate difference and build a more inclusive society where everyone has the opportunity to belong and contribute.
The event will also include the presentation of SSI’s annual Community Appreciation, Helping Hands and CEO Awards, recognising the contributions of our community and colleagues.
We hope you can join us for this special occasion.
