St Mary Star of the Sea College 150 Black Tie Gala Ball
Event description
Welcome from the Principal
It is with a considerable sense of both pride and humility that I invite you to share in the celebration of the 150 years of St Mary Star of the Sea in 2023.Â
By any measure, this is an extraordinary milestone. The history of the College is as much about the history of the city of Wollongong and the state of New South Wales as it is about the proud traditions and evolution of our College. One of the high points of the celebration of this milestone in 2023 will be our Black Tie Gala Ball to be held at the WIN Entertainment Centre (WEC), Wollongong on Saturday, 20 May 2023.Â
TICKETS are $180 per person or a table of ten $1800. This includes a 3 course meal, drinks and entertainment. Â
JOHANNA GRIGGS AM - We are excited to announce our Host for the evening is Australian television presenter, former Olympian and host of Better Homes and Gardens.Â
KILLER QUEEN EXPERIENCE, Australia's #1 Tribute Band will entertain us. The Killer Queen Experience has toured to sold out shows in the UK, Norway, Singapore, Russia, and India, and every city in Australia, and shared billing with the likes of Jeff Beck ( RIP ), Foreigner, Journey, Twisted Sister, Thin Lizzie, and Kelly Rowland. This show features Queen’s greatest hits, including – Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions, Somebody To Love, Radio Ga Ga, Another One Bites The Dust, and more songs that will bring a smile (or a tear) to any Queen fan.
This will be a community celebration: a gathering of current and past families, members of staff, ex-students and civic leaders and leaders of business through the period. St Mary Star of the Sea is proud of our reputation for contributing to the community of Wollongong.Â
I hope that you will join us in the celebration of 150 years of empowering young women in the Illawarra.
