SPX Rugby Club Gala Dinner 2025

You are invited to the annual St Pius X Rugby Club Gala Dinner, to be held on Saturday, 14 June at Dockside, Cockle Bay Wharf.

The SPX Rugby Committee look forward to welcoming guests to this special evening to celebrate our rugby community and raise funds to support our ongoing rugby initiatives. 

Tickets numbers are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.

TABLE BOOKINGS: Tables are set for 10 people.  Once you have booked your place, simply share your table number (by year group) with friends who can then select the same table when they book. 

Every effort will be made to ensure you are seated at the table you have selected.  There may however be a need to combine tables and adjust your allocated seat(s) due to the final tickets purchased at your table.  Please be understanding in this situation.

DRESS CODE:  Smart evening attire (non-formal).

GUEST SPEAKER: Owen Finegan

We are thrilled to welcome Owen Finegan as our keynote speaker. A Wallabies legend and foundation member of the ACT Brumbies, Owen played 93 Super Rugby matches, captained the Brumbies to victory in 2004, and holds the Super 12 record for the most tries by a forward.

With 56 international caps, he was a key figure in Australia's rugby success, including scoring a memorable injury-time try in the 1999 Rugby World Cup final. Named Australia’s Player of the Year in 2001, he was also recognized in the Wallaby Team of the Decade.

Beyond rugby, Owen has built a successful career in leadership roles, including as CEO of The Kids' Cancer Project, driving positive change for children with cancer.
