STAG presents William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Love is complicated. Magic makes it worse.

This November, Shepparton Theatre Arts Group invites you to step into an enchanted world of mischievous fairies, tangled romances and theatrical chaos with Shakespeare’s most magical comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

As night falls, four young lovers escape into the forest, only to find themselves caught in a bewildering game of love and mistaken affection. A troupe of enthusiastic amateur actors is determined to put on the performance of their lives, while the fairy king and queen wage a battle of wills that sends the natural world into disarray.

And at the centre of it all is the mischievous Puck, armed with a magical flower and absolutely no guarantee that things will go according to plan.

Performed outdoors amongst the vines, STAG’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream brings Shakespeare’s enchanted forest to life with live music, laughter, romance and a touch of theatrical magic.

Whether you know Shakespeare by heart or have never seen one of his plays before, this lively and accessible production is the perfect introduction to one of the world’s most beloved comedies.

Come for the romance. Stay for the fairies. And beware what happens when fools fall in love.

This is an outdoor performance, so please select the ticket option that matches how you would like to enjoy the show:

PICNIC RUG / LOW CHAIR TICKET
Bring your own picnic rug or low-backed outdoor chair and settle in close to the action.

CAMP CHAIR TICKET
Prefer a little more height and comfort? Bring your own standard camp chair and select the Camp Chair ticket option so we can seat you in the appropriate area without blocking the view of guests seated lower down.

Please note: seating is NOT provided. All patrons must BYO their own picnic rug or chair.

🍷 Food & Drinks

Make an evening of it! Picnic hampers will be available to purchase, with further details provided when booking.

NO BYO FOOD or ALCOHOL.

The winery is a licensed venue, so alcohol and food cannot be brought onto the premises. Wine and other beverages will be available to purchase at the venue. Hampers may be pre-booked via the ticketing site, and a dessert bar will be available

You are welcome to bring your own picnic rug or appropriate chair — just leave the wine and food at home and let the winery take care of that part!
