Stage Our Play; Charlie Pilgrim (or a Beginner's Guide to Time Travel) - Years 5-8
Event description
Join us for a week as you work towards performing one of ATYP’s foundation commission plays, Charlie Pilgrim (or a Beginner’s Guide to Time Travel), by Sam O’Sullivan.
Have you ever wanted to change the past? Charlie Pilgrim has. And with the prototype of her time machine – The Mobius – ready for a test run, she was hoping to get her chance. Unfortunately, starting up the machine has accidentally created a closed time loop that adds a new Charlie every twenty-four hours!
Students will be given the full theatrical rehearsal experience in just one week. They’ll work with a professional director as they take on scene analysis, character development, understanding blocking and an almighty fast into learning lines…At the end students will share a performance of selected scenes from the play.
ATYP school holiday workshops encourage and engage young people from Kindergarten to Year 12. Participants will make new friends, learn about performing, gain confidence and most importantly have a ton of fun in a safe and inspiring environment.
