Course description
In this training participants will explore the nature and dynamics of stalking, focusing on its intersection with intimate partner violence, and sexual violence.
Participants will learn foundational knowledge on stalking – definition, dynamics, impacts, behaviours, use of technology, separation and homicide risks. Issues explored will be stalking behaviours, in particularly grooming, other forms of sexual violence and course of conduct.
Participants will learn strategies and receive tools to assist them recognise stalking behaviours that will enable them to help clients with support, safety planning and documentation of incidents.
Who should attend?
This training is suitable for professionals, practitioners, support and refuge workers, advocates, and staff from child protection, police and justice and other sectors who work regularly with clients who are at risk of, or experiencing family and sexual violence.
