Local Makers Market Stall Application: 17 - 18 August and/or 14 - 15December 2024 (Fully Refundable Application Fee)
Event description
We're all about embracing the good stuff - the stuff that makes communities thrive. Local Makers Markets are fuelled by a deep commitment to supporting local economies, empowering Australian designers and makers while saying a big "no thanks" to mass-produced junk.
After a successful launch in 2023, the Local Makers Market will be back for 2 great markets in 2024! Australian designers and makers are encouraged to apply for an opportunity to showcase their creations at the Seaworks Maritime Precinct.
The market launch saw approximately 2000 patrons attend over 2 days and we expect future markets to exceed these numbers.
THIS APPLICATION FORM CAN BE USED TO APPLY FOR ONE OR BOTH OF THE UPCOMING MARKETS
Successful stallholders will have the $50 application fee credited to their invoice and unsuccessful stallholders will receive a $50 refund.

UPCOMING MARKETS
Winter/Spring Market: 10am - 3pm, 17 - 18 August 2024 Bump-in: from 7am Saturday 17th August
Christmas Market: 10am - 3pm, 14 - 15 December 2024 Bump-out: From 3pm Sunday 15th December
Stall holders are expected to have their stalls set up and operational for these hours.
Selection Criteria
To be considered for a stall, makers and designers must meet the following criteria:
- Products must be handcrafted, designed, or locally produced, showcasing your commitment to ethical and sustainable practices, including responsible waste management.
- Professionally presented finished products that align with our market's values and aesthetics.
- Products must be priced well and ready to sell, ensuring an appealing offering for our patrons.
- Please include pictures of your stall setup and high-quality photos with detailed descriptions for your five hero products.
Fees
Applications will only be accepted for a full weekend of trade - we are not accepting single-day applications at this stage.
General Categories (Excludes Food/Beverage Trucks - cost below)
General category stalls are INDOORS
- $330 + GST for a 2m wide x 2m deep stall.
- $630 + GST for a 4m wide x 2m deep stall.
- Powered sites incur an additional $100 + GST charge
- Corner stalls are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and subject to availability. There is no additional charge for corner stall upgrades.
Food Trucks
Food Trucks are located OUTDOORS
- $500 + GST per van
- Powered sites incur an additional $100 + GST
- Must be able to produce a current SoT
Before starting the application
Please ensure you have the following:
- A valid Australian Business Number (ABN).
- Public liability insurance or the intention to obtain it at least 14 days before the market, with coverage of at least AUD 10 million.
- Sufficient time to complete the application form in one sitting, as it cannot be saved as a draft.
- Your commitment to ethical and sustainable practices, including responsible waste management.
Next Steps
- Once your application is received, you may be contacted for additional information to further assess your suitability for the market.
- If your application is not approved, a refund will be issued to you for the application fee.
- If your application is approved, an invoice for the full stall amount minus the application fee will be issued and must be paid in full within 14 days of issue to secure your spot
