Event description
Following the successful Stand Tall Sydney Event in June 2021, we will be bringing our first major Regional Stand Tall Event to Tamworth!
Please share this event with friends and teachers so we can reach as many as possible in the Tamworth region with the vital message of hope.
As the youth of today face extraordinary challenges during times of uncertainty and crisis, Stand Tall brings the hope students need to sustain them and ensure their mental wellbeing for the future.
Stand Tall builds hope, inspiration, a sense of value, connectedness and belonging and helps address mental health issues in young people, including those who slip under the radar and haven’t verbalised their struggles to teachers or parents. We want to provide you with a insight into what your students will experience at the Stand Tall Event which we hope will provide opportunity to open up important conversations with them after they have experienced an amazing and inspirational day.
You will hear from a number of our key speakers including Michael Crossland, Tony Hoang, Eloise Wellings and Sean Johns from The Fathering Project. This event will be hosted by former Wallaby Captain, Nick Farr-Jones AM, and you will be entertained by four-time Golden Guitar winning Country music singer-songwriter Amber Lawrence.
Our first Stand Tall Parent and Teacher event will be on the evening of Thursday 2 September at the TRECC.
