Standard Mental Health First Aid Course
Event description
The Standard MHFA course is ideal for workplaces, government agencies, charities and individuals who want to understand more about mental health issues, how they affect people, their signs and symptoms along with how to approach a sufferer and encourage them to get the help they need.
The course is internationally recognised and used throughout the world. It is predicated on evidenced base research and global best practice in the field of Mental Health.
The course not only provides a good understanding of how to recognise the signs that someone may be suffering from, or developing a mental health condition, but will give you all the practical skills you need to step in and help. Through a series of case studies, group work and role-plays you’ll learn exactly how to approach a person to discuss mental health issues, what to say and what not to say and you’ll be given the MHFA manual to take away which covers all the mental health conditions, signs & symptoms, crisis, interventions and helpful resources.
