Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised course that equips participants with the knowledge, skills and confidence to recognise, respond to and support someone experiencing a mental health problem or crisis.
This 2-day, face-to-face course teaches practical strategies for recognising common mental health conditions, having supportive conversations, responding to crises, and encouraging appropriate professional help. Using the evidence-based MHFA Action Plan, you'll develop the confidence to provide initial support until professional or other supports can be accessed.
Suitable for leaders, supervisors, HR professionals, educators, frontline workers, community members, and anyone wanting to better support the mental health and wellbeing of others.

Recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health problems
Respond to mental health crises
Have supportive conversations with confidence
Encourage professional help and other supports
Reduce stigma and promote early intervention
Apply the MHFA Action Plan in real-world situations
Participants who complete the course receive an electronic Mental Health First Aid Certificate of Completion and may choose to undertake accreditation as an MHFAider®.
