Conversations for healing and professional focus

In response to current complexities and challenges in ECEC this group of independent advocates gathered to share thinking about children’s rights, and the wellbeing of early childhood professionals.

We soon recognised the potential for others to have an opportunity to gather, in person, in solidarity, to join the conversation.

Our hope for this gathering is for participants to leave with a deeper sense of connection with others; to feel heard and seen; to feel a greater sense of hope, optimism, and refreshment to support their work with children and families, community and colleagues.

We wonder:

· What messages children are encountering about their world and their place in it?

· What is the place and potential for early childhood education now, and in the future?

· What does it mean to be an educator in current times?

· How do we safeguard children whilst encouraging their curiosities, capabilities and competencies?

· How can educators feel supported during times of ‘change fatigue’?
