Starfish Club iOTA 7 August 2023

iOTA is a multi talented and critically acclaimed singer and actor, songwriter and composer.

You may have seen him in the movies 'The Great Gatsby' or Mad Max 'Fury Road' or playing Frank'n'Furter in the stage production of the Rocky Horror Show, or Hedwig and the Angry Inch, - he has a long and illustrious history of theatre appearances: Lazarus, Pigalle, Berlin (Sydney Dance Company), The Turquoise Elephant to name a few.

He also wrote and starred in Slap and Tickle, The Average Joe, Smoke and Mirrors (Sydney Festival) and B-Girl (SOH).

Iota has released 7 albums, participated in Eurovision (Australia Decides), is the Voice of Walter the Blue Slug in the Animated TV series Beat Bugs, has been nominated for an Aria Award, AND has won 4 Helpmann Awards as well as Green Room and Sydney Theatre Critics’ Awards! 

To say that we're incredibly excited to have iOTA as our very special guest for the August Starfish is an understatement!

Joining him will be Franco Raggatt on electric guitar, Jess Ciampa on Vibes and percussion, Bill Risby on piano and of course the Starfish team Hamish Stuart on drums and Jonathan Zwartz on double bass.
