Stargazing - Hide + Seek Festival 2024

Friends of Paddock Creek in conjunction with the Ballarat Astronomical Society will hold a special stargazing event on Sunday November 3rd 2024 with support from Moorabool Shire Council as part of its Hide + Seek festival 2024. Moorabool Shire Council is supporting Friends of Paddock Creek to engage Ballarat Astronomical Society to lead the stargazing. Paddock Creek Reserve is a good place to stargaze as it is relatively dark at night with open skies to the west and south.
Moorabool Shire Council is presenting Hide + Seek Festival 2024. Discover the hidden gems our regional towns offer, wander through arts trails and savour the local produce and historic buildings. Hide + Seek will provide exposure to Moorabool Shire’s landscape, growers, artists, makers, spaces, and places.
The stargazing will be held near the rotunda at Paddock Creek Reserve on Lyndhurst St - opposite the dam.
If you bring a torch a red LED is preferred, if possible.
