Mosaic Christmas Decoration Workshop

Slow down this December and spend an evening creating something beautiful under the festoon lights at Perth City Farm.

Part of our Starlit series, this relaxed, beginner-friendly Mosaic Christmas Decoration Workshop is all about quality time, creativity and making something you’ll actually want to keep.

Guided by Perth artist Laurene Chapman, you’ll create your own handmade mosaic Christmas tree decoration, choosing from four festive colour palettes:

• traditional red and green with gold

• blue with silver

• white with gold

• purple with silver

No mosaic experience is needed. Laurene will guide you through the process step by step, and all materials and equipment are provided.

With a glass of bubbles on arrival, music playing and the Farm glowing under the festoon lights, it’s a lovely way to catch up with friends and slow the December pace a little. There will be a cash bar available for drinks too.

Your ticket includes

• Guided mosaic workshop with Laurene Chapman

• All materials and equipment

• Your finished mosaic Christmas tree decoration to take home

• A glass of bubbles on arrival

• Live music

• A relaxed evening at Perth City Farm

Optional upgrade: Add a cheese platter for two for $35, perfect for sharing while you create.

Meet Laurene

Laurene Chapman has a lifelong passion for creating, channelled in recent years into intricate mosaic pieces and vibrant acrylic paintings.

When she isn’t working part-time as an Education Assistant or keeping up with her three grown children and six grandchildren, you’ll find her happily getting messy in her home studio.

A semi-regular stallholder at local Perth markets, Laurene says her favourite compliment is that her stall radiates pure joy. That perfectly reflects what she hopes to bring to her workshops too: creativity, colour and the joy of making something with your own hands.
