Start your year with a night of incredible conversation with Australia's Small Business Ombudsman, Kate Carnell.

This woman is (in our humble but painfully blunt opinion) one of the most amazing examples of a female leader changing the world.

Not only will we have the chance to ask about the things relevant to business, female leaders and growing small businesses, but we will learn the story of this incredible leader.

Ms Carnell started her career by opening her own Pharmacy soon after finishing university and becoming a Pharmacist.

Now she is the Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman, leading the organisation and is on the board of the Australian Climate Change Authority.

Kate's past roles include CEO of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Australia's largest and most representative business organisation, CEO at beyondblue addressing issues associated with depression, anxiety and related disorders in Australia and CEO of the Australian Food and Grocery Council. She is also the former CEO of Australian General Practice Network and was elected to the ACT Legislative Assembly in 1992 becoming ACT Chief Minister.

Following her political career, Kate became a driving force behind Transact Communications' innovative broadband communications network and also spent three years as Executive Director of the National Association of Forest Industries (NAFI).

That is a long list of impressive roles and accomplishments, but most importantly, she is a passionate woman in business, family woman and world changer travelling from Canberra to share and inspire us.
