Just starting out in business and have pātai about GST? This free workshop is designed to awhi whānau, sole traders, companies, and organisations taking their first steps into business.
This session provides practical guidance, builds confidence, and helps whānau understand the essentials of getting started on their business journey.
Please note: Kai is not provided for this session, so feel free to eat beforehand.
Participants will learn practical knowledge on:
What is GST
GST registration
Record keeping – cash book and invoices
Basic adjustments
GST filing and payment
Online services.
No need to bring anything - just yourself.

• Kaitakawaenga Māori deliver Inland Revenue services in a whanau, hapū and iwi-centric way to ensure our Māori customers have the tools to self-manage their tax affairs, whether they are an individual or in business.
