South Australia is fast becoming synonymous with deep technology.

Artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, smart sensor networks, renewables, defence and space technologies, robotics, big data and creative industries are key areas being fostered here.

This has all been greatly supported by the development of Lot Fourteen - a seven-hectare innovation precinct - as well as cross-industry investment in our innovation sector, and progressive government initiatives.

Jim Whalley is South Australia’s first Chief Entrepreneur, providing strategic advice to enable entrepreneurialism across all forms of business, industry and public sector in SA. Together with the Entrepreneurship Advisory Board, Whalley supports entrepreneurs to build their capabilities and their confidence, to make sure they have the skills to grow a business from concept through creation, bring their ideas to market and turn their innovations into commercial outcomes.

Moira Were AM - Founder at Hen House Co-op, Chooks SA

Moira is a distinguished social entrepreneur and advocate for women and people who are disadvantaged bringing an innovative and inclusive approach to business, government and not-for-profits in Australia and around the world.

Flavia Tata Nardini - Chief Executive Officer at Fleet Space Technologies

Beginning her career with the European Space Agency, Flavia co-founded Fleet Space Technologies, which will launch nanosatellites to connect digital sensors in a range of industries.

Anton Andreacchio - Managing Director at Convergen

Anton has qualifications in mathematical and computer sciences and has founded leading animation and virtual reality studios with applications in sport, live entertainment and real estate.

Jenny Paradiso - Co-Founder and Director at Suntrix Solar

Jenny started her career as a librarian before a passion for renewable energy lead to the creation of Suntrix. Jenny is a member of the Premier’s Climate Change Council and was previously on the board of the Clean Energy Council.
