Guided Tour of the State Records of SA Research Centre

The Friends visited this unparalleled repository of South Australia in 2018. It was so rewarding that a second visit has now been arranged.

The Research Centre contains a veritable mountain of material, accumulated since the State’s foundation in 1836. They will display for us their treasures and key historical documents. These may include maps, historical correspondence, plans and photographs. The Centre has separate sections on first encounters with local aboriginals, immigration records, women’s suffrage, documents and details on health and welfare, not to mention genealogical records and so on.
