Everyone's favourite screening collective Static Vision are taking over SHADES on Saturday 6 May with a screening of Gaspar Noe's Lux Æterna, a selection of secret shorts, plus sets from Static Vision Sound System.
Arguably Gaspar Noé’s most visually audacious film to date, the Cannes-premiering hallucinatory fantasia Lux Æterna (2019) demands to be seen on the big screen.~~~Long takes presented in split screen and flickering psychedelic editing mark this unique real-time experiment from provocateur and arch stylist Gaspar Noé (Enter the Void, Climax), funded by Yves Saint Laurent. As much a behind-the-scenes drama as an intense collage film, this exploration of witchcraft and control stars Béatrice Dalle as a film director preparing to burn her leading lady, Charlotte Gainsbourg, at the stake.
