Event description

The event will include water safety experts teaching about water safety, trivia games and there will also be a fundraiser (silent auction) to raise funds for the Making Waves Foundation to continue to teach water safety and learn to swim throughout Montgomery County Maryland. There will be community organizations that champion swimming invited to have information tables at the event.

The East Coast premier of the film "When Everyone Swims" will also be shown. The goal of the film is to show that water safety is for everyone and everyone deserves a safe, enjoyable relationship with water. Q&A with some of the films producers and participants as well as a discussion will be conducted after the screening.

Special performance from R&B Singer Steven Thad who will be performing his latest single “Smile”.
