Join us for a rich and engaging cultural learning experience starting at Otto’s Grotto, 12 Dial Street, Ulverstone. From this meeting point, we’ll embark on a guided walk through the surrounding parklands and along the track behind the Sound Shell at the Ulverstone Outdoor Entertainment Centre, exploring the remnant vegetation and stories held in Country.Along the way, we’ll share insights into the deep Aboriginal history of the area, reflect on the impacts of colonisation, and look ahead to the shared future we’re working towards. You’ll also hear about the important work being undertaken by Healthy Country Services in collaboration with Central Coast Council — including their involvement in the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) journey. After the walk, the group will meet at Hive Tasmania for a guided tour of the Aboriginal history exhibition, continuing the conversation in a space dedicated to education, reflection, and respect.This event offers a meaningful opportunity to connect with Country, deepen your understanding of local histories, and learn about the ongoing work toward reconciliation in the Central Coast region.This is more than a walk – it’s an invitation to listen, learn, and reflect.
