Living in an age of information and technology, how human do you feel?

Our lives move at the pace of notifications, algorithms and endless streams of information. We're expected to process more, respond faster and stay constantly connected.

But we're not machines.

Our bodies weren't designed to function like computers. We aren't built to operate without rest, to be endlessly productive or to process information without feeling its effects. Beneath the pace of modern life, our nervous systems are asking for something different:

Space to breathe, move, feel and reconnect.

Staying Human is a seven week journey into the human technologies we already possess. Through the practices of Kundalini Yoga, we'll explore the innate capacities that help us navigate modern life with greater resilience, clarity and presence.

Each week focuses on a different human technology including:

Learn how breath becomes a tool for self regulation.
Experience movement as a way to process stress and build vitality.
Discover the power of sound and mantra to shift your energy and focus.
Explore meditation as a practice of awareness and inner connection.
Embrace deep relaxation as an essential technology for restoration.
Leave each class with practical tools to help you navigate modern life with greater calm, clarity and resilience.

This series is an invitation to step out of constant doing. To spend less time in your head and more time connected to your breath, your body and your intuition. To remember that while the world around us continues to accelerate, we have the capacity to meet it without losing ourselves. To meet life as a human.

Whether you're new to Kundalini Yoga or returning to your practice, this course offers a welcoming space to slow down, reconnect and experience the profound intelligence of being human.

Kundalini yoga is often said to be the yoga of awareness. The practice of kundalini yoga clears the body of blocks so we can raise our energy and live to our true creative potential, with clarity.

Situated in a cozy private studio in Charlestown, class numbers are small and intimate

In Person:

Props are provided but feel free to bring your own, and a bottle of water.

Online:

Find a comfy quiet space in your home with a yoga mat, blanket and cushion, and a device for Zoom.
