Stella Day Out is an event series by The Stella Prize, celebrating Australian women and non-binary writers.

Hosted at Quest Collingwood in Melbourne, this free session is an exciting opportunity to hear from Stella-listed author Laura Elizabeth Woollett.

Laura Elizabeth Woollett is the author of a short story collection, two novels, and the novel-in-stories West Girls, which was long-listed for the 2024 Stella Prize. Born and raised in Boorloo/ Perth, she now lives in Naarm/ Melbourne. She has been the recipient of numerous grants and fellowships, most recently a 2025 Keesing Studio Residency at the Cité Internationale Des Arts in Paris. Hell Days: into the inferno of hormonal mood disorder is her nonfiction debut.

In conversation with Ruby Perryman, Laura will discuss her latest book, Hell Days, and her writing practice. This will be a vibrant evening celebrating some of the best new Australian literature.
