    Event description

    Kia ora,

We're happy to announce our STEM in the Community - Whakatane event! It will take place on Wednesday 6th of October at the Toi Ohomai Whakatane campus.

Join us and participate in a free workshop -"Precious plastic project" by Envirohub Bay of Plenty. We'll be talking about avoiding single use plastic and, if we can't, what are the alternatives for the waste? We will show you the process to transform milk/soda bottle lids that can't currently be recycled into other products such as clocks, pens, earrings. There is also a challenge awaiting the participants!

It's an ongoing session with 3 time slots for you to choose from in order to meet Covid 19 regulations. Click on Show more dates for this event to choose your time.

This workshop is suitable for 8 to 12 years old tamariki.

All children MUST be accompanied and supervised by an adult during the entire session. ALL ATTENDEES MUST HAVE AN ENTRY TICKET.

Please note that the venue has changed. The workshop will take place in the Ohope Hall.
