Come and join us at Tinkd Makerspace in Tauranga CBD for a hands-on taster kits activity during this October school holidays! We have created fun taster kits aimed at allowing participants to learn how to use the amazing equipment we have at Tinkd.

At the Laser Taster Kit you will create and design your own fridge magnet polaroid-style photo frame using a specific software to design, and with the assistance of a Tinkd team member, watch your design being laser cut.

IS THIS A WORKSHOP?

No. This is a self-guided session for you and your child. Each kits contain step by step instructions to help you achieve a successful end project with the help of the adult who accompanies the child and with supervision from the Tinkd team.

DO I NEED TO STAY WITH MY CHILD?

An adult helper must stay and work with the child, each adult helper can supervise no more than 3 children.

Choose from the two session times:

10am - 11:30am

10:45am - 12:15pm

WHAT'S THE IDEAL AGE FOR THIS ACTIVITY?

This session is suitable for children aged 8 to 16 years old. It should be able to be completed within the 1.5 hour window, and may even be finished earlier than this.
