As part of our celebration of the centenary of broadcast radio in South Australia, please join us at the City Library with a special event featuring bestselling author Victoria Purman in conversation with Jade O’Donohue.
Victoria will discuss her new historical fiction novel The Radio Hour, which is set in the golden age of radio of post-war Australia, and focuses on the remarkable yet often overlooked women who shaped Australia’s most beloved radio serials.

Victoria Purman is an Australian author known for her historical fiction and contemporary romance novels. She often explores themes related to women's experiences and Australian history, particularly during World War II. Many of her works are set in coastal or rural Australian locations, and she has been recognized for her vivid storytelling and strong character development.
Jade O’Donohue is the Manager, Creative City for the City of Adelaide, and for nearly 20 years championed local musicians and other cultural and artistic creators on local community radio station Three D Radio 93.7fm.
