Event description

STEP NSW Branch invites you to a seminar with Leah Sewell TEP, Barrister, Chalfont Chambers.

Topic: AI – Will estate and trust lawyers be replaced?

As a panel speaker at Global Congress in Rome earlier this year on the topic “AI & Mental Capacity – surely there is an app for that?”, Leah will discuss the ever important role of capacity assessment by practitioners and whether AI can be used to assist, or replace the assessment. She will discuss some of the developments raised in Rome with technology, and highlight the nuances with mental capacity assessment that should instil confidence that our jobs are not about to be replaced by AI necessarily.

DATE: Wednesday 10 September 2025

TIME: 12:30pm - 1:30pm

COST: $45 STEP Members, $90 Non-Members
