ABOUT THE PRESENTER

Liam Shorte, Director, SONAS Wealth

I am a Financial Planner and Fellow SMSF Specialist Adviser™ FSSA™. My focus is on educating clients to take back control of their finances and I write an educational blog called The SMSF Coach.

I am a former Director of the SMSF Association and still Chair the National Membership Committee. I write and speak on superannuation, retirement and small business with a new focus on restructuring and intergenerational wealth transfer.

I was the winner of SMSF Adviser of the Year NSW - 2017 and 2018. Winner of the IFA Excellence Awards - SMSF Adviser of the Year 2020 and 2024 and Finalist 2022, 2023 and 2024.

I work with people and their advisers who are engaged and determined to be self-funded in retirement but want guidance on Plan B strategies as well. I believe in using the tax, super and legal systems to maximise your wealth and ensure you are structured to make the most of all opportunities.

I hope to add the "sleep factor", where you can rest easy at night knowing exactly how your lifestyle will be funded in future years and how to pass your remaining wealth to the next generation(s).

Our tag line “Create – Enjoy – Transfer” encapsulates our primary goals for our clients.
