    Event description

    The seminar will cover:

    1. canvass the use of trusts in estate planning and asset protection and the benefits associated with trusts;
    2. consider a trustee duties, who those duties are owed to and the risks and consequences associated with a breach of duties; and
    3. touch on ethical issues in estate planning such as conflicts of interest, representation of multiple clients, confidentiality, legal professional privilege, including in the context of the legal profession conduct rules and at law generally.

    About the speaker:

    Kellie’s practice includes deceased estate and Family Provision Act matters, trusts, corporate and commercial litigation and dispute resolution, insolvency and legal costs.

    Kellie has a wide range of litigation experience having appeared as Counsel in all WA jurisdictions.

    Kellie has advised a wide range of individual clients providing a solution-focussed, estate planning and commercial advice with a pragmatic approach, in addition to having a broad commercial and corporate background. Kellie is known for her thorough and accurate legal advice and her eye for attention to detail.

    In addition to her legal work, Kellie is a member of the Law Society Council, the Law Society Elder Law Committee and Costs Committee and enjoys giving back to the legal community.
