Put some Spring in your Step - get out, get social and get active!

The Step10 Challenge is a 10-week walking program supporting women of all ages to build fitness and social connections with regular, hosted walks along Bendigo's beautiful local trails.

Kicking off the week of Monday September 29th, walks will take place each week at various locations.
You can start the program at any time during October or November.

Register to get updates; you'll be able to join regular walks or just a few; whatever works for you!

All of the events in the Challenge program are free for women living or working in or near City of Greater Bendigo. We'll be there to greet you, so feel free to come alone.

The program starts with entry-level 3km walks until mid-October before progressing with extra, optional laps pending demand. The program will culminate with a 7.9km or 10.8km challenge walk on Saturday November 29th (9AM).

The Step10 Challenge is designed for women of all ages who want to get back into walking, or for those wanting to build their steps or a regular routine in a safe and supportive environment. The walks will be at a gentle, social pace.

The below is a guide to upcoming walks. Please register and then accept the invite to join our app to get all the information about walks in October and November.

Middle phase walks late October to late November

Our October to late November walks will include:

Lake Weeroona walk, Mondays 4pm (5.30pm on Mon Nov 10)
Meet us at the covered BBQ Pavilion on the Napier Street side of the lake, just south of the playground at 3.50pm. We'll take in a couple of laps around the lovely and popular lake Weeroona and surrounds. This is the perfect way to wind down after a Monday of work or of wrangling others!

Lake Neangar and surrounds walk (Thursday mornings 10am)
Meeting at the colourful Playspace on the southern bank of Lake Neangar from 9.50am, we'll take in a scenic 3-5km walk of the lake, Canterbury Park and Lake Tom Thumb in Bendigo’s north.

Crusoe Reservoir loop (Saturday mornings, new time of 10am)
One of Bendigo's favourite walking places, our program starts with a 3.4km circuit of Crusoe Reservoir through October before building up to optional longer distances throughout the program. Meet at the reseroir noticeboard just inside the gate from the Crusoe Road carpark at form 9.50am to start walking at 10am.

November 29th 10.8km Challenge walk

Walk leader Claire will motivate you on this 10.8km hike around Crusoe and No. 7 Reservoirs starting at 9am! There is an option to finish the walk at the 7.9km point, and we'll break at the 5km point.
