Event description

For our October 'lunch and learn' event, we are partnering with the Gippsland Forestry Hub to bring you a showcase of speakers who will explore current opportunities within the forestry and wood products industry. 

Our speakers will include: 

Dr Alastair Woodard is a director of Technical Promotion & Consulting Solutions (Aust) Pty Ltd. Alistair will present findings from the recently published report ‘Steps Towards a Greener Future’.

Kersten Gentle, CEO of Frame and Truss Manufacturers Association of Australia (FTMA). Kersten will share details of an environmental initiative called ‘Carbon Warriors’ created by the FTMA to help tackle the fight against climate change.

Jon Lambert is based in Gippsland as Managing Director of Heartwood Unlimited. Jon will speak about carbon farming and the opportunity this emerging industry presents.

Event Program

  • 12.00pm - 12.30pm - Lunch will be available in the shared kitchen at the Morwell Innovation Centre
  • 12.30pm: Welcome by MC, including Acknowledgement of Country (5 mins)
  • 12.35pm: Speakers (15mins each)
  • 1.20pm: Q&A with all speakers, panel discussion (25 mins)
  • 1.45pm: Event concludes, networking in the foyer if desired
