What to Expect:

• A 4.0-mile moderate loop trail with 396 feet of elevation gain. Trail details HERE
• Panoramic views of Sterling Lake and peaceful forest paths.
• Opportunities to spot local wildlife and explore remnants of historic iron mining operations.
• A chance to unwind and connect with fellow nature lovers.
• A post-hike stop at a cozy local café to relax and refuel.

What to Bring:

• Sturdy hiking boots (required).
• Weather-appropriate clothing, including warm layers, gloves, and a hat.
• A daypack with water, snacks, and a packed lunch.
• Binoculars or a camera for capturing wildlife and scenic views.

Event Schedule:

• 10:00 AM – Meet at The Standard Biergarten in NYC
• 10:30 AM – Depart for Sterling Forest State Park
• 12:00 PM – Arrive at the trailhead and begin the hike
• 2:00 PM – Snack break by Sterling Lake
• 3:30 PM – Conclude the hike and head to a nearby café
• 5:30 PM – Depart for NYC
