Still Dreaming RUNWAY

Still Dreaming is the debut fashion runway by Sydney-based designer Lukas Maran, marking the culmination of six years of self-taught design and garment making. Recently accepted into the Graduate Diploma of Fashion Design at Central Saint Martins in London, the event also serves as Lukas' farewell to the Sydney creative community before beginning this next chapter.

More than a runway, Still Dreaming is a fundraiser bringing together fashion, art and community in support for the people of Myanmar. All proceeds from the event will help fund educational initiatives and provide ongoing humanitarian aid to communities affected by the country's ongoing conflict.

THEME:

The collection explores the dreams and ambitions we held as children, before they were reshaped by fear, failure and the expectations of adulthood. It reflects on how our idea of what is "realistic" changes over time, inviting the audience to reconnect with the curiosity and optimism that once came so naturally.

Existing somewhere between a dream and a nightmare, the world of Still Dreaming invites you to enter this ethereal state. It asks a simple question: Who did you want to become, and are you still dreaming?
