Your tutor for this workshop is Alan Harding. Alan is an artist living in Yass who has been interested in art, craft and design since childhood. These interests which have steered his study choices and working life of teaching, gallery retailing and graphic designing.
He mostly paints with oils, creating compositions from his own photography and sketches. He varies his subject matter; however, his underlying efforts have been in developing strong composition: exploring formal aspects of art such as geometry, perspective and colour composition.
Alan has exhibited at Tyger Gallery, Tuggeranong Art Centre, Belconnen Art Centre, Strathnairn Gallery and the South Gallery near Goulburn. He has been a finalist at the Caleen Art Award.
