WORKSHOP: Exploring Oils with Still Life Painting

Join me for my first local workshop in Fremantle!

Here you will learn key techniques of oil painting in this hands-on workshop, suitable for beginners to intermediates. Over two 3-hour sessions, you’ll complete a still life painting on a 25x30cm canvas, choosing from a curated selection of reference images.

I'll be painting alongside you, demonstrating steps including monochrome underpainting, colour mixing, brush selection and care, and layering oil paint—from the underpainting to the final details. We’ll also cover safe handling, cleaning, and storage of oil paints. We will also discuss going beyond still-life painting, finding inspiration, and building an art practice.

• Early bird tickets $130, general tickets $150 (plus ticketing fee)
• This workshop runs over 2 sessions, 9am to 12pm Friday 23rd and 30th of May
• All materials supplied - feel free to bring an apron/ or wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on
• This workshop is for adults (18+)
