Hello my friends!
I am so grateful and excited you will be joining me for my very first Stitch Craft Workshop!
Included: an embroidery hoop, practice fabric, needle, special ink fading pen, and 3 thread colours - all for you to take home
Bring Along: I ask that you come prepared with an item of clothing. I love upcycling so find something in your closet to give a second life to or find something at the op shops! However and whatever the piece is the most important thing about this piece is that it does not stretch.
Think jean jacket, blouse, shirt, pants, wall hanging, linen or cotton items. Generally natural fibres work the best but go with what you feel. If you have any questions on the item of your choosing, send me a photo and I’ll help you work it out.
HOUR 1 - I will walk us all through a little demo on some test fabric. For this I will supply you with a design to practice on fabric.
HOUR 2 - we will spend time personalising the story or theme of your piece- you may have a favourite place you like to visit, flowers you love, mountain range, animal, anything you can think of. For this I encourage you to bring in and images you might have, think silhouette, simple line drawings, be inspired by anything. If you get stuck at this part, I will have some pre-made designs for your choosing.
HOUR 3- the beginning of the end… a hobby that once began won’t stop. This part of class is for you to begin the stitching of your design onto your piece of clothing you bring along. I will be available to answer any questions or assist with any quirks that may pop up.
