Stitch n' Sip Sundays

Bring your knitting needles, crochet hooks, embroidery hoops—or whatever fiber arts craft project you’ve got going—and join us for Stitch n' Sip, a cozy monthly gathering around the fire pits in the Heurich House Museum’s 1921 Biergarten.

Local fiber arts enthusiasts and hobbyists of all levels are invited to work on their projects, share tips, and enjoy good company in our historic garden space. Whether you’re into knitting, crocheting, weaving, cross stitch, felting, or just looking for a welcoming creative community, this drop-in meetup is for you.

Stitch n' Sip is directly related to Heurich history - the historic mansion was built and decorated by local craftspeople from 1892-1894 and the Chr. Heurich Brewing Co. (1872-1956) produced DC’s hometown beer brand for over 80 years. The museum’s works to support the local small-scale maker community in DC, which is composed of two groups: Artisan Makers + Craft Beverage Producers. 1921 is a biergarten in the Heurich House Museum's Castle Garden that serves a rotating list of fresh local craft beer from DC breweries, craft cocktails, wine and non-alcoholic options from the area’s best beverage producers.
