Stitched Together- Fabric as story
Event description
Stitched Together - Fabric as Story
Using fabric scraps, colour theory and hand stitching create a piece of cloth that has meaning to you. This workshop begins a process that can be meditative and be used to make something practical such as a bag, cushion cover or clothing decoration. Or create something that has an artistic approach inspired by the textile work of Artist Therese Flynn-Clarke.
Come and have fun and explore possibilities using what is normally consider as unusable, waste fabric.
Bring your own needle, thread, and scissors. All other materials are provided.
To add to your own personal 'story' participants might like to bring along fabric scraps, an old outfit that could be upcycled, old doilies, lace, wool or anything that has a special meaning or 'tells a story' for you.
Duration: 2.5 hours 9.30am- 12.00pm
