Description

Archive your own magic through the quiet rituals of drawing and embroidery. In this workshop led by Folk Lounge founder Shagho, you’ll craft a Hero’s Journey Scroll—inspired by  The Epic of Gilgamesh—as a living record of your personal mythology. Together, we’ll give form to the unspoken, the overlooked, and the nearly forgotten stories that have shaped your path. This is conservation work of the most personal kind: stitching lineage, labor, and quiet triumphs into tangible form, ensuring that your journey endures in both spirit and story. Through the intimate ritual of drawing and embroidery, participants will create a Hero’s Journey Scroll that preserves and honors their lived experiences—the unspoken, unrecorded, and forgotten stories that shape who we are. This is conservation work of the most personal kind: stitching lineage, labor, and quiet triumphs into tangible form, ensuring that what we have lived and transformed endures.

Join Textile Arts LA Artists and Craft Contemporary for a vibrant series of three hands-on workshops celebrating story telling through stitch exploration and Block and Gelatin printing on fabric. This series is a tactile journey through print, poetry, and handwork—perfect for anyone who loves fabric, creativity, and community.
