STOKED Los Angeles Art Auction
Description
No ballroom. No seating chart. No chicken.
On Saturday October 24, more than forty artists put work on a wall at The Pit in Los Angeles. The work goes home with somebody. The money goes into coaches.
STOKED puts paid coaches inside schools: the same adult, the same twenty young people, every week, all year. Programs start in October, and coaches get hired in September. This is the night that pays for them.
Live art auction, music, and one honest ask made in the middle of the night rather than hidden at the end.
Bidding runs online as well as in the room. Lots and bidder registration open October 14, so you do not have to be in Los Angeles to take something home.
Every lot funds the work of curing isolation and loneliness. Room is limited.
