STONE, SMOKE & TEMPLE- an incense immersion

I wish to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of this land, the Wurundjeri Woiwurrung people of the Kulin nation and their Elders past and present. I acknowledge and respect their continuing culture and the contribution they make to the life of these waters, stones, trees & country.

It is a priveledge for me as a Slavic, Balkan, Cornish woman to walk upon these lands which is rich with ancient story, song and continued cultural connection.

STONE, SMOKE & TEMPLE.

Women gather, In hearts and hands.

Travelling with ancient smoke to carry your prayers of heart up through the canopies and weave them through the roots of the Earth.

A Flowering Smoke Immersion for the Grandmother within, the wisdom holders, the Women of the Earth.

Light the ember of the ancient Queen within.

Let the flame gentle flicker to cast your light into the world.

Walk between the realms of the seen and unseen through the lens of animism, that being that every THING has a living spirit.

Every stone, tree, bloom, river, mountain and crevice in between.

From ancient temples of time to the natural wells of water.

The aim of this immersion is to bring the wise women together.

To share story, medicine songs, cultivate nature connection techniques and to craft one of the most ancient forms of incense.

Inspired by the ancient Egyptian Temple Incense, Kyphi, we will knead and soak berries fruits spices and fragrant woods into wine and weave bioregional botanicals into out blends. Blue Lotus permeating the space, sweet resins echo the richness of time.

What is Kyphi?

Step back in time.. Travel across the deserts of scent to the ancient temple walls. It is here you will find sacred texts and recipes of this rich and powerful incense formulation written deep into the stone.

Although this ancient recipe has been somewhat lost in time and translation, we can still be inspired by the process and significance.

It is said that Kyphi is the incense of the night.

At dawn, Frankincense is offered to the sky. Myrrh offered at dusk and Kyphi the smoke of the night.

Inviting prayer, meditation, dreams and deep prophecy, Kyphi ancient incense may open a bridge of deeper connection to the night, spirit, and may activate our thread of wisdom to web of the collective.

During this immersive and nourishing day we will:

* Explore the many uses of incense, both culturally and spiritually

* Explore techniques to develop nature connection and bioregional observation

* Learn about the history of ancient temple incense

* Learn how to make ancient Kyphi and weave bioregional plants through the blend

* Sit with the medicine drum and explore women’s song and Shamanic journeywork

* Sit with the bioregional season, Winter the night and how these seasonal patterns can support us

* Story Share

* Share nourishing food

* Learn how to activate the olfactory system through scent to tune into your own body wisdom.

TEA, CHAI AND COFFEE AND REFRESHMENTS WILL BE PROVIDED BUT PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH.

This will be my last immersive in person gathering before I leave to go to South Australia.

On the day I have invited special guests to come and share their wisdom and knowledge as women walking the medicine path who have had years of experience in facilitation in the Shamanic spaces. This will be a very grounded container, always sitting in an Earth based energy.

There will be a small market space on the day, so if you feel called to share your craft, please bring a small box or basket of your treasures to share with the circle to sell on the day. ( not a whole carload as we will only have a small amount of time to browse treasures )

If you offer services rather than products, please bring your business cards along.. there will be an opportunity to share your gifts with the circle.

This circle will be based on old ways and new ways of gathering together and I do not claim to know everything about Kyphi, I am only inspired by it and therefore will tweak the recipe to honour the lands of which we will be gathering upon, hence the bioregional incorporation.

Woiwurrung country has been a vital part of my growth and learning as a woman, and I ask you to come in respect of the land and one another and the Traditional Custodians.

When woman gather, we have the potential to achieve beautiful things. We offer our prayers up to the heavens and to the collective to bring about change and action,
