STONO explores the history and legacy of the Stono slave rebellion in 1739. As such, it includes racially violent language drawn from enslavement-era laws, as well as detailed descriptions of the rebellion, including physical violence. This production uses gunshot sound effects and features a stylized depiction of a person being shot.

We encourage you to take care of yourself and step out if needed at any point during the performance.
