Stony Ground/ Pocketful of Hope: Exhibition Launch
Event description
Stony Ground / Pocketful of Hope shares body maps – human-sized artworks – made by people who have faced discrimination due to mental distress, disability, or a refugee background. Created as part of Black Dog Institute’s Women and Stigma project, these artworks tell important stories about the very real impacts of discrimination, and about the strength, courage, and love that can help combat these impacts. Capturing a spectrum of experiences – from walking on stony and unforgiving ground, to finding an unexpected pocketful of hope – these body maps will inspire, intrigue, and enlighten.
Please join us for the exhibition's launch. Light refreshments provided, all welcome!
