Friends of Mamma Chen’s cordially invites you to a queer gathering at Mamma Chen’s for a dance-along screening of the classic Talking Heads concert film, Stop Making Sense

Directed by Jonathan Demme, Stop Making Sense captures an incredible performance by Talking Heads in 1983, on tour for their record, Speaking in Tongues. This ain’t no party, this ain’t no disco, this ain’t no fooling around - but instead it is regarded as the greatest concert film ever made. And besides, Wesley just wanted to watch it for their birthday and have a big old dance spectacular in the bandroom

If you wanna come along and make flippy floppy, burn down the house (metaphorically speaking) and generally be in heaven for 88 minutes, then Mamma Chen’s must be the place

This is a dance-along screening. Limited seating will be available, as per usual live bandroom events.

- The entrance of Mamma Chen's is on Albert St, with ramp access for mobility aids.

- There is an accessible parking spot and bathroom available.

- PLEASE TAKE A RAT TEST & MONITOR YOUR HEALTH BEFORE ATTENDING. WE WILL HAVE A AIR PURIFIER RUNNING IN THE BANDROOM. Masks are encouraged.
