Stop Motion Animation Workshop - learn new techniques and explore the sculptural scenery of Mosman!

Born in 2003, Elle is a 2D animator who has lived and worked in Sydney, an environment that has led her to pursue a practice in animated and mixed media using various digital illustration software. Culture and the human experience has been a focal subject in her works, where she embraces moments of shared humanity within traditions, generations and affections. Her recent group animated work ‘Mid-Autumn Mooncakes’ (2023) showcased at the Sydney Opera House’s Playhouse, echoes these feelings through the collective celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival, offering a glimpse into her cultural background. 

Join Elle in making short animation using stop-motion techniques at Open Studio No.8 in Mosman!

To participate, we ask that you bring your smartphone device with you to capture each still for the animation. With this, you will also need to download the 'Stop Motion' app, which is available on IOS and Android.

All other materials will be provided on the day. All skill levels welcome, the workshop is catered to ages 16 and over.
