STOP THE CHOP AT JOHN E BROWN PARK

John E Brown we haven’t forgotten you.

The chainsaws and bulldozers are also headed for John E Brown Park (27A). You can learn more about this relatively unknown park here.

So at 10.30 on Sunday July 19th we are meeting at the Deceased Workers Memorial Forest, at the Bowden end, near Park Terrace. You can find out more about the forest here.

What to expect:

* This is not a ‘rally’ with speakers but a gathering to show this park is not forgotten

* We will take a walk through the park with a Guide to provide information and the history of the park.

* You will have the opportunity to voice ideas about what could be done with the park if the Driving Range doesn’t go ahead. (e.g alternative uses, improvements, maintenance, or nothing)

* Yellow ribbons can be tied around trees

***Please be conscious of the material of the ribbon.

***Avoid knitted fabrics as these may be dangerous to the wildlife.
