STOP THE CHOP ROAD SHOW AT NORWOOD
Description
The campaign to protect the Adelaide Park Lands is heading to the suburbs, with the first Stop the Chop Roadshow to be held at the Norwood Oval Memorial Gardens on Saturday 12 September.
Following the March for Your Park Lands protest on 23 August, the roadshow will take the campaign directly to communities across metropolitan Adelaide and give local residents an opportunity to hear from their elected representatives about the future of the Park Lands.
Local Members of Parliament will be invited to attend each roadshow event and share their vision for the Adelaide Park Lands with people in their electorates.
Local musician Loren Kate will perform in the rotunda between 12:30 and 1pm, with another set following the rally.
The roadshow will also highlight the enormous environmental, recreational, cultural and community value of the Adelaide Park Lands and the need to protect them from further loss, tree removals and increasing development pressures.
The first event will be held on:
Saturday 12th September at 1:00pm
Norwood Oval Memorial Gardens
4 Woods Street, Norwood
Further suburban events will be announced in coming weeks.
