Event description

The magic that comes from siblings making music together continues with Greg and Sara Storer’s debut album, Storer, released Friday, January 13.

Having collaborated on songs since Sara’s second album, Beautiful Circle in 2004 when Greg co-wrote Chiller’s Bend, the pair have won Golden Guitars and an ARIA between them and are now releasing their first full-length offering together.

Making it even more special, Greg’s daughters, Bonnie and Pip, also join the party.

STORER bring their highly entertaining show to Marthaguy Hall on Sunday 5th March 2023 with gates opening at 2:30pm.

From songs written previously, to songs they wrote for the project, both together and individually, the project has resulted in a stellar collection of songs full of truth and warmth, with Pip Storer also recording a song she had written.

“I think Pip has learnt the Storer trade: write it as you see and hear it,” Sara said.

“I might be biased but she’s brilliant!”

Greg, a farmer from Warren, said his favourite song was Pedal Push Pedal.

Darwin-based Sara, though, said Greg’s song, Dust Kids, was her standout from the album.

“When I heard it initially, I’d cry every time,” she said.

“There’s a line in there about my boy Bill going for a ride on the motorbikes to check the bulls with uncle Benny. It’s just beautiful and shows the love and strength of our family.”

Both Sara and Greg said they wanted listeners to take away an appreciation for their stories and songs from this album and to continue to connect with these songs through their upcoming live performances.

“I want listeners to see that songwriting is my love and passion and I do it to make me happy inside (achievement and confidence) and outside (singing and connecting),” Sara said.

“To write a good song makes me feel like I’ve ticked the box for the day.”
