Stories from Crevice Communities is a symposium being held on the Wagga Wagga campus of Charles Sturt University December 7 & 8, 2022. Keynote speakers are Dr Lee-Anne Hall, Director of the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery; Associate Professor Margaret Woodward with Camilla Brueton speaking on the moss.quarry.plaque project; and Professor Sue Green, Course Director for Graduate Certificate in Wiradjuri Language, Charles Sturt University.
An exhibition of the works of invited visual artists will take place at the HR Gallop Gallery 6-8 December.
Associated events in the week of the Symposium include associated multimedia performances by Dr Louise Curham and Jacqui O’Reilly at Wagga Wagga Art Gallery and the showing of a documentary by about the stranded forests of Iceland by two members of the Berlin-based Lichtung collective. Hands-on altered books workshops will be conducted by Bärbel Ullrich on the Monday, Tuesday and Friday of the Symposium week. There will also be a  Yindyamarra walk guided by Wiradjuri man Lloyd Dolan.
