We all love a story and we’re introduced to the joys of stories pretty much as soon as we can sit upright and hold a book. Big brands use storytelling every day to market their products.

This event will feature guest speakers who will share stories from their previous and current roles, and provide honest insights about their career transition into a startup. Through their first-hand experiences, we'll uncover the similarities and differences of working in a startup compared to a corporate or community role.

Emmy Singh, Channel Partnerships Manager at Airwallex

Emmy has just transitioned to Airwallex after almost 5 years at Microsoft.
She has won awards for her work across community engagement, social enterprise, and sales, resulting from influences of unique experiences (like remotely working as an international digital nomad for a year). At the intersection of her identity as a law graduate and a woman of colour, she's fiercely passionate about improving internal corporate culture (to be more inclusive and a breeding ground for innovation) through pragmatic ideas.

Mark Fulcher - Strategic People and Culture Executive, was acting COO, Attend Anywhere, medtech startup that scaled rapidly during COVID.

Stephanie Hall - Communications/Strategy specialist/Startmate Fellow, is an award-winning communicator, writer & operator with a passion for making complex & controversial ideas simple & meaningful.

In mid 2021, she chased her passion and took a leap of faith to pivot into the rapidly growing, but widely misunderstood sexual wellbeing industry. She's currently helping to scale Sextech School, an industry-led course for sextech entrepreneurs, and is exploring ways to change the narrative on sexual wellbeing.

Prior to this, Steph spent much of her career in the environmental space. After graduating Dux of her Masters, she co-created Climate Communicators: an Australian-first communication initiative to improve public access to evidence-based climate data, for which she won a 2021 Victorian Young Achiever Award.
